- Limit who can see live location, start times and repeated routines.
- Obtain consent before naming, tagging or tracking companions.
Share routes responsibly
A recorded line is not an access authority.
- Verify rights of way, land-manager permission and current restrictions.
- Do not publish sensitive unofficial trails, wildlife sites or private access points.
- Describe hazards and uncertainty without presenting stale conditions as live fact.
Control the data
Connected services may share more than the visible map.
- Review app permissions, linked services and default visibility after updates.
- Remove metadata before posting images where location secrecy matters.
- Delete unnecessary exports and revoke old device or service access.
