- Expect controls for nesting birds, forestry disease, fire, deer management and conservation work.
- Do not rely on an old GPX or cached route description.
Reduce disturbance
Speed and repeated passes can affect animals beyond the trail edge.
- Stay on the intended route and keep noise low.
- Do not approach, feed or film wildlife at close range.
- Control dogs and follow lead requirements.
Biosecurity
Mud can move plant pathogens and invasive material.
- Clean soil from tyres, footwear and equipment between regions.
- Use designated wash facilities and dispose of debris responsibly.
- Follow official disinfecting instructions in controlled areas.
