Check current notices

Restrictions may be local and time-sensitive.

  • Use land-manager pages and on-site signs before entering.
  • Expect controls for nesting birds, forestry disease, fire, deer management and conservation work.
  • Do not rely on an old GPX or cached route description.

Reduce disturbance

Speed and repeated passes can affect animals beyond the trail edge.

  • Stay on the intended route and keep noise low.
  • Do not approach, feed or film wildlife at close range.
  • Control dogs and follow lead requirements.

Biosecurity

Mud can move plant pathogens and invasive material.

  • Clean soil from tyres, footwear and equipment between regions.
  • Use designated wash facilities and dispose of debris responsibly.
  • Follow official disinfecting instructions in controlled areas.
