AI DIRTTRAILS

OUR SOURCES AND STANDARDS

How we research

AI Dirt Trails helps riders compare UK mountain-biking destinations and plan a visit. Each location page links to the operator or land manager responsible for the trail.

Start with the operator

Trail operators and statutory land managers are the primary sources for route names, grades, published distances, access rules and facilities. Councils, national parks and official tourism bodies can provide supporting information about arrival and the surrounding area. Location pages link directly to the relevant official source.

Check details that can change

Closures, weather, prices, opening hours, parking, bookings and services can change. Check the operator’s current advice before you travel, especially after heavy rain, forestry work or severe weather. This directory is a planning guide, not a live trail-status service.

Maps, stays and photographs

Map markers are planning aids and may indicate a trail area or a nearby practical base. Accommodation distances are shown as straight-line measurements where available; confirm the route, current operation and bike policies with the property. Photographs include creator, source and licence details where they are displayed.
