Fit and position
Frame insertion and saddle hardware limits still apply.
- Choose travel that allows full pedalling height without exceeding frame or post limits.
- Place the lever within easy reach while maintaining secure braking grip.
- Route cables or hoses clear of steering and suspension movement.
Use it deliberately
Practise before technical terrain.
- Lower the saddle before descending, drops or steep corners.
- Return to full height for efficient seated climbing.
- Avoid unweighting mistakes that cause an unexpected rise under the rider.
Care and faults
Follow the exact post’s service guidance.
- Keep the shaft clean and avoid lifting the bike by the saddle when prohibited.
- Investigate sinking, excessive play, slow return or oil leakage.
- Respect pressure and cartridge warnings; some internal work requires specialist service.
