Before arrival
Use the operator’s exact entrance information.
- Confirm postcode limitations, access road, height barriers, charges and payment method.
- Check opening and gate-locking times against a delayed finish.
- Use designated parking and never block emergency or forestry access.
Secure the vehicle
Remote does not mean low risk.
- Remove valuables from view before reaching the car park.
- Do not leave keys, wallets or bike documents hidden near the vehicle.
- Lock racks and spare bikes independently where possible and verify insurance conditions.
Finish safely
Allow time for the practical end of the day.
- Return before gates close and before the group loses safe light margin.
- Check the bike, roof height and rack fastening before driving.
- Report suspicious activity through appropriate channels rather than confronting people.
