Start with venue rules
Uplift parks and events may specify mandatory equipment.
- Check full-face, knee-pad, glove and body-armour requirements before booking.
- Use products carrying the relevant current conformity markings and intended for cycling.
- Do not modify protective equipment or mount accessories contrary to its instructions.
Fit and compatibility
Protection must remain correctly positioned while riding.
- Adjust straps and closures in normal riding clothing.
- Confirm goggles, glasses, helmet and neck movement work together.
- Choose pads that allow control rather than becoming loose or painfully restrictive.
Inspect and replace
Damage is not always obvious from the outside.
- Follow the manufacturer’s crash, inspection, cleaning and replacement instructions.
- Retire cracked, compressed, cut or poorly fitting equipment.
- Dry naturally and avoid solvents or heat that could damage materials.
