Share trails predictably, protect drainage and wildlife, and support the people maintaining riding places.

On the trail
Predictability matters more than claiming priority.
- Slow down around walkers, horses, children and blind junctions; communicate without startling people.
- Do not stop on landings, fast lines or hidden bends.
- Let faster riders pass only at a safe place and never pressure a slower rider.
Protect the ground
Small shortcuts become large erosion scars.
- Stay on the intended line and do not ride around puddles where that widens the trail.
- Never reshape features, remove drainage or create unofficial lines.
- Respect wet-weather, wildlife, fire-risk and forestry closures.
Give back
Trails depend on land managers, volunteers and local businesses.
- Donate or join recognised trail associations and attend authorised dig days.
- Wash soil from bikes before moving between sensitive forest areas.
- Report damage and hazards to the operator with a clear location instead of attempting unauthorised repairs.
