Tubeless mountain-bike tyres

Compatible setup
Use tubeless-ready rims, tape, valves and tyres approved for the combination.
- Inspect rim tape and tyre beads before adding sealant.
- Seat tyres with controlled equipment and never exceed tyre or rim pressure limits.
- If unsure, ask a competent workshop to install and explain the system.
Routine care
Sealant dries over time and pressure still escapes.
- Check pressure before every ride and replenish sealant at an appropriate interval.
- Inspect sidewalls, beads and tape after impacts or repeated pressure loss.
- Carry compatible plugs, a pump and a tube.
On the trail
Move safely off the riding line before repair.
- Rotate a small puncture downward and allow sealant to work before plugging.
- Use a tyre boot and tube for a cut the sealant cannot close.
- End the ride if the bead, rim or casing cannot safely retain pressure.
