Sender Bike Park is a focused skills and coaching venue at Inverdruie, Rothiemurchus, just outside Aviemore. Its estate booking pages invite adults and children to repeat features in the Coaching Area, with separate coached products and weather-dependent airbag sessions. Choose it when the aim is deliberate practice and confidence on bike-park features. A booked session here has a different format from a long forest ride through the surrounding Cairngorm landscape.
The current weekday booking page offers available session places, so the visitor information supports an operating park with date-specific access. Bring a suitable bicycle, helmet and protection; the park itself does not provide them. Admission also depends on minimum riding skills and age arrangements. Read those conditions before choosing the product, particularly for a younger child whose ability or supervision needs could change the group’s plan.

Coaching Area DIY session
The estate calls the main repeat-feature provision the Coaching Area and describes it as designed for beginner and intermediate riders. A DIY ticket gives practice access without coaching. Riders must be able to pedal standing up and coast with pedals level. Use the session to work on manageable features, not to assume that a beginner description removes the operator’s entry requirements.
The published DIY products offer a full 1pm–5pm session or two-hour slots from 1pm–3pm and 3pm–5pm. The weekend product covers Saturdays and some Sundays, so use a bookable date rather than assuming daily weekend availability. Follow staff instructions around areas reserved for courses or maintenance, and allow time for paperwork before the booked start.
The estate advertises three airbags that operate when weather permits. They are not included in a DIY park fee and need a separate on-site induction and session arrangement. Discuss the relevant restrictions directly before making an airbag the purpose of your visit. No public colour grade, circuit length or named downhill trail is claimed for these coaching facilities.
The Coaching Area provides repeatable beginner/intermediate practice features. Airbags require separate induction and payment, with weather-dependent operation.
For a first visit, decide whether you need coaching or simply a place to practise a skill you already understand. A DIY ticket does not include instruction. Book the correct session and arrive early enough to discuss the layout with staff, complete the acceptance-of-risk form and collect the access band. Pick one achievable focus, such as maintaining a stable standing position, then take breaks before repetition becomes tiring.
Parents should settle both the child’s skills and the adult-supervision arrangement before booking. Riders aged six to fifteen need a responsible adult on site throughout; younger children may only gain access after demonstrating the required pedal-bike skills. Balance bikes are excluded. For older teenagers, read the detailed waiver and nearby-adult conditions directly with the operator. Arrange an alternative family activity if a child’s current ability does not fit the admission rules.
Where is Sender Bike Park Aviemore?
Use Inverdruie, Rothiemurchus, PH22 1QH. Park at the estate’s Woodland or Fishery car park; the adjoining Tennis Club parking is private. Official directions →
The park’s official contact address is Inverdruie, Rothiemurchus, Aviemore, PH22 1QH. It is beside the road and cycle path, with an approach possible on foot or by bike from Aviemore. Follow the operator’s parking directions: the parking beside the park belongs privately to the Tennis Club and must not be used. Arriving at that address is therefore different from choosing a permitted place to leave the car.
Use the Rothiemurchus Woodland car park or Fishery car park identified by the operator, then make the short transfer to the park. The Barn Café has limited parking and is another nearby reference point. Bring the booking details and arrive ten minutes before the session for paperwork and the access band. When staying in Aviemore, include the transfer and return in the day’s schedule so your riding time is not consumed by finding parking.

Facilities
Sender does not supply bicycles or protective equipment. Bring a maintained bike appropriate for the features, with a helmet mandatory and further protection chosen around your ability and the operator’s advice. The estate identifies Aviemore Bikes in town and In Your Element nearby as hire possibilities; confirm the intended Sender use, size and collection slot directly. A general leisure-bike rental is not automatically the right equipment for every park feature.
There are no toilets, food or drink at the bike park, and indoor space is limited. The operator directs visitors to nearby toilets at the Fishery and Barn area. Carry water and something to eat, and organise a toilet visit before signing in. Rothiemurchus’s Barn Café and Farm Shop provide a separate food stop for the wider outing. Keep equipment out of feature approaches and accept that some park areas can be reserved for coaching or maintenance.
Bike hire at Sender Bike Park Aviemore
Bring your own bike and protection. The estate names Aviemore Bikes and In Your Element for nearby hire; agree the intended park use directly.
The operator warns that weather can cause short-notice changes or closures, even after a journey has begun. Airbags are particularly dependent on suitable conditions. Confirm the session you intend to use and bring clothing that works during breaks as well as while pedalling. A town forecast provides context, but the staff’s decision on a feature or airbag remains the authority. Plan a separate Aviemore or estate activity if the booked riding cannot go ahead.
Camping and places to stay near Sender Bike Park Aviemore
A base in Aviemore or Inverdruie
Aviemore offers a useful accommodation base for Sender and broader Rothiemurchus cycling. Choose around your transport, meal plans and whether you need to collect hired equipment. Ask the property about secure bike storage and arrival times before booking. If bringing your own bicycle, have somewhere agreed to put it while visiting cafés or attractions; a room reservation alone does not settle that practical detail.
Companions can organise a Rothiemurchus outing from the visitor area, using the estate’s walking information and the Barn Café or Farm Shop as a meeting point. Riders wanting a separate forest day can investigate Three Lochs and Ancient Forest using the estate cycling map, with their own access and weather decisions. Those routes are not included in a Sender ticket. Keep the two activities distinct when planning equipment, return times and how much energy the group has for a second session.
